Cleared for the Option is a pilot's eye view of an amazing adventure around the United States in an old-timer seaplane. Starting in the Great Lakes region of Michigan, the book chronicles the daily accounts of our adventurous duo and the personal discoveries they make - and photograph - along the way.
  • Chapter one of the book, "From East to West" starts in the icy waters of the Great Lakes and follows the "Lewis and Clark Trail" up and over the mighty Rocky Mountains and into the wild and open West.
  • California and Las Vegas then act as a dramatic backdrop to the second leg of the journey, "San Francisco - Bartow,"  where on the way they encounter the Texas plains and a hurricane-stricken New Orleans.
  • The humidity of the Everglades contrasts the fresh breezes of the Bahamas in "Florida and the Bahamas".
  • Finally, "On the Trail of the Settlers" brings our wandering souls full circle up the Eastern seaboard. After Washington DC, New York-NY, Boston, and then the Niagra Falls on the US/Canadian border, our heroes finally arrive at Oshkosh to take their place in the biggest gathering of private aircraft in the World!

Enjoy the photography and strap yourself in to the glossy pages of Cleared for the Option as the words of Adrian Hill, Marc Sluszny, and Jill Gardy (Editor) transport you into the
co-pilots seat of LAKE six-one-eight-five-Victor for an unforgettable journey!
